Its almost summer – have you made any vacation plans? Its not too late to book a last minute getaway. Take advantage of last minute specials. If you can’t get away this summer, make a homemade summer vacation in your yard. Its about a state of mind. Enjoy. Relax. Recharge your batteries. Have Fun. Be safe. Wear sunscreen.
Every year it seems in the blink of an eye we go from shoveling snow to realizing:
Its almost summer!
Before it slips away, make plans to make the most of the season. Kids are out of school and vacation destinations book up early. But don’t just hurry and book the first great deal that comes your way. Why not call a family meeting and ask everyone what they would like to do now that its almost summer?
Get the family calendar — I bet you’ll find it on the refrigerator 🙂 — and plug in all the pre-scheduled events such as summer camp, vacation bible school, family reunions, and any other planned events.
Then work around the schedule to find the best dates for your getaway. Ask for suggestions from family members of where they would like to go and what they would like to do.
Alternately, you could do a little research first and find out the best deals and options that fit into your family’s budget and time constraints, then present several options to the family to vote on.
However you choose to make your plans, I encourage you to make some time to do it, because its almost summer!
